📋 Terms of Service

1. About BrightLab SG

BrightLab SG (“BrightLab”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is an online primary school Mathematics learning platform for Singapore students from Primary 1 to Primary 6. Our platform provides self-paced lessons, quizzes, gamification features and progress tracking tools, fully aligned with Singapore’s MOE Primary Maths syllabus.

2. Eligibility and Account Registration

To use BrightLab you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age to create a parent or guardian account
• Provide accurate and complete registration information including your name and email address
• Keep your account credentials confidential and not share them with others
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account

Student accounts are created within a parent or guardian account. Children under 18 may use BrightLab only under the supervision and with the consent of a parent or guardian who has registered and accepted these terms.

3. Free Trial

BrightLab offers a 7-day free trial for new users. During the trial period:

• You have full access to all P1–P6 Maths lessons and quizzes
• No credit card is required to start your trial
• You will be prompted to choose a paid plan at the end of the trial period
• If you do not subscribe after the trial, your access to lessons will be paused
• Your account and progress data will be retained for 30 days after trial expiry

One free trial per person. Creating multiple accounts to extend the free trial period is not permitted and may result in account termination.

4. Subscription Plans and Payments

BrightLab offers the following subscription options:

• Monthly Plan — SGD $19.90 per month, billed monthly
• Annual Plan — SGD $149 per year, billed once annually
• All Subjects Bundle — SGD $39.90 per month, billed monthly

All prices are in Singapore Dollars (SGD) and exclude applicable taxes. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. By subscribing you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

5. Cancellation and Refund Policy

You may cancel your BrightLab subscription at any time from your account dashboard.

• Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
• You will continue to have full access until the end of the paid period
• We do not offer refunds for partially used subscription periods
• Annual plan subscribers who cancel within 7 days of purchase may request a full refund by emailing us at hello@brightlab.sg
• Refund requests after 7 days will be considered on a case-by-case basis at our discretion

6. Acceptable Use

When using BrightLab you agree not to:

• Share your account login credentials with others outside your immediate family
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent the free trial limit
• Copy, reproduce, distribute or sell any BrightLab course content without our written permission
• Attempt to hack, reverse engineer or disrupt our platform or servers
• Use BrightLab for any unlawful purpose or in violation of Singapore law
• Misrepresent your identity or your child’s school level when registering

Violation of these terms may result in immediate account suspension without refund.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on BrightLab — including lessons, quizzes, questions, voiceovers, badges, images, videos and written materials — is owned by BrightLab SG and protected by copyright law.

• You may not copy, screenshot, record or distribute our course content
• You may not use our content for commercial purposes including resale or tutoring businesses
• Your subscription gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to access BrightLab content for your child’s private educational use only

8. Educational Disclaimer

BrightLab is a supplementary learning tool designed to support your child’s Maths education alongside school. We make the following important clarifications:

• BrightLab is not a replacement for school education or professional tutoring
• We do not guarantee specific improvements in school test scores or PSLE results
• Improvement in academic performance depends on many factors including frequency of use, individual learning pace and school curriculum timing
• BrightLab content is aligned with the MOE syllabus to the best of our knowledge but we recommend verifying specific topics with your child’s school teacher

9. Service Availability

We aim to keep BrightLab available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. However:

• We may occasionally take the platform offline for maintenance, updates or security improvements
• We will notify users in advance of planned downtime where possible
• We are not liable for losses resulting from unexpected service interruptions
• If our platform is unavailable for more than 72 consecutive hours, affected subscribers may request a pro-rated credit by contacting us

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Singapore law, BrightLab SG shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of our platform, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue or academic outcomes.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of BrightLab shall not exceed the total subscription fees you paid to us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make significant changes we will notify you by email and update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of BrightLab after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

If you do not agree with the updated terms, you may cancel your subscription before the changes take effect.

12. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of BrightLab shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
